So I’m writing a thesis on how the portrayal of Muslims (specifically Arabs) in Hollywood compares to Nazis and Russians, when they were the “monster of the week” so to say. But it’s starting to become apparent that outside of the realistic war films, there aren’t that many fantastical films that use Muslims and their ideals as villains. The only one I can come up with right now is Iron Man 3, and even that is debatable if you’ve seen the film. Can anyone here think of some non-historical films (i.e. purely fiction) that involve Muslims or Arabs as the villains?
